Situated on the western side of the river, this suburb climbs the hill behind Sandy Bay and offers wonderful views over the city, river and down to the Channel. Close to private schools and the University of Tasmania at the bottom of the hill and also Hobart College at the top. A local shop only but close to the viewing station at the top of Mt Nelson which is one of the earliest signal stations in Tasmania. A variety of older and '70s style brick and/or weatherboard homes mixed with a few townhouses and modern homes.
